Well, last May I started losing my hair and over the last 7 months, probably lost 80%. The only hair left was above my nape. I had long thick hair, so it was a bloody shock. What I've learnt from this Alopecia World is, if your hair grows back, some people say you don't need this website.I needed this website for those 7 months and still need it now, although my hair is now growing back. I am a changed person. All my life I had long thick hair. I have hair growing back, but I will look different. I've spent months covering my scalp as all the bald patches. But I'm nearly there with all patches covered it's all short and tufts now and I hope it doesn't fall out again. But who knows!

I am so pleased for you and wish you all the best - what a wonderful thing to be happening. I would really take care of yourself and your health to put all the chances on your side that you hair growth stays and is permanent.

So happy to hear. Did you just let it come back naturally, or did you use products and treatments?

Very happy for you.  Enjoy it!  If it doesn't last, don't let it throw you though.  Sometimes it can be a cyclical disease - but other times, it's just a one off thing!  We all hope that for you, it was just once!  The most important thing is to be happy and healthy, with or without!

It's a wonderful feeling, congratulations!! Mine also started growing back. I decided to stop shaving my head about 4 Months ago and just let it grow and kept the spots hidden with a hat. It looked hideous, but the hat helped. I don't know if this helped my patches or not, but I also started taking Biotin 10,000 mcg with 100mg keratin (Spring Valley brand from Wal-Mart) as you mentioned with yourself, my head was also about 80% bald patches, but now I have just one small bald patch that I comb hair over it to cover it up. I can finally go out without a hat on.

That is absolutely awesome!  A year ago mine all fell out EVERYWHERE!  Talk about strange!  I looked weird, but didn't let it bother me. I wore hats, wigs, makeup and it all worked.  The biggest thing I did over the last year is gluten free and clean eating, icing any skin inflammations, avoiding methylisothiazolinone,  methylisothiazolinone, quaterium-15 and formaldehyde since I tested positive with all of these in my skin allergy tests.  Once I quit using any products with those ingredients my hair started growing back.  It's slow going but eyebrows are back and eyelashes are starting.  I am SO happy for you!  It's a great feeling!!!!

Hello,

Exactly on December 25th 2012, I lost 2 "circles" of hair: top and back of my head. big shock!!!!!

Took 200 Biotin pills (100 pill/bottle COSTCO) and a doctor provided steroids (cream and liquid formulas later on).

I recovered 100% of the hair in both patches...but just got a new, smaller one...don't want even to look for more...just sharing :(

Hi guys, thanks for all your lovely comments!! I was taking Vitamin B Complex, also Biotin 1000 mcg and probiotics in tablet form, that was it. I used to massage my scalp with raw coconut to get the hair follicles going, I went to see a Ayuerveda practitioner and she went through ways to control my stress which I think has made a huge difference... I think were all so busy in our everyday life are bodies weren't made for all of this, we just need to Stop, Sit Back and relax once in a while, I know it's hard but for me it's made a big difference... I'm actually a much happier person now, for this happening to me.
Take care guys!!!
