I've been dealing with Alopecia for a little over a year now. Some days are better than others. I've lost a good bit of my hair on the left side of my head mostly and i'm starting to see new bald spots on the right side very small right now but afraid they are going to get like the left. The left side is growing back after i started using the fluocinonide cream the doctor gave me but i feel like my hair is just thinning out more and more and more. I'm not sure if i'm just being over paranoid or what is truly happening. I wish i knew things that helped it more and things that made it worse I've treating lessening my stress level and it pretty much seems that no matter what i do it doesn't help i guess maybe a better diet would work? I was thinking about going on a gluten free diet to see if that would help. Could i please get advice from anybody or some words of encouragement?

Thanks,

Amanda

I totally can relate. I found a bunch of new, tiny spots. Will they stay small? Will they grow? It's the not knowing that drives the paranoia. I think there is nothing wrong with trying a gluten free diet or an anti inflammatory diet. I feel so much better when I ditch wheat and grains. It takes some planning but you just may feel better on it, even if it doesn't help your hair. Hugs!

Yeah definitely the not knowing is what drives it. I've been trying to be so strong about it but some days are harder than others. Today i feel very motivated i bought water and crystal light water packs i bought gluten free food along with carrots/cucumbers/lettuce and gluten free dressing i'm also going to try a biotin pill for hair/skin/nails strength so we'll see!
