Well..Its been a while since I got on here, but I wanted to update my stuff! I did have three spot and they were getting bigger and bigger and then I had cortisone shots and the clobetasol gel! Well, the shots made my scalp way too thin and he said that I could not have any more shots for at least two years! So then it was a waiting game to see how it would turn out. The hair started growing back really fast and good! I was so excited! But last night I was looking in the mirror and saw a spot in the very back of my hair line about the size of a dime! So here I go all over again....Every time I think its over....it comes right freakin back!!! This crap is so frustrating!!! I need help!!!

Misty, I'm really sorry to hear about another spot. In a phrase...HATE IT, HATE IT, HATE IT. I've had it up to my eyeballs with it too, and have just grown tired of caring about my hair at the moment. I know deep down I still do, but for now, not showing it the light of day. Hang in there as best as you can.

Hey Misty

Hope you're having a better day today.

You're right - THIS CRAP IS FRUSTRATING! I couldn't put it better myself - I might add in a few expletives though!

Take care

Hey Girl,
You are so strong. Have faith that at least you do have episodes of it growing back. Recognize that there is a bit of light and happiness in all of this. You look beautiful in your photos! I know how you feel as I have been taking the shots, and then i see a new spot form. It's super irritating. It's such a rollercoaster eh? ANyways i am new to this site and would love the chats when you have time. Give me an update as to how you are.

Hi Misty. Cortisone also weakens the your heart muscles (and other muscles of the same type I believe). Since you are have periods of regrowth I would suggest you keep a diary of sorts. Document things like diet, medications, and anything else you may suspect is relevant. Then after a cycle or two of regrowth look back for patterns. You'll have to keep in mind that there will be delays between anything you are monitoring and the regrowth because hair follicles will go dormant. If you do this don't forget to let us know what you discover. :)
