Newly allergic to tape

If anyone has any ideas or has had the same problem, I need your help! I've been using tape on my wig for 20 years now and just in the last 6mon. have become very allergic to it now. When I take off my wig every evening, the skin is bright red, itchy, and sometimes even oozing! ): I've been ordering many different tapes online, with no luck so far. Anyone with ideas? ?

So sorry to hear you have a new problem Hope.  Allergies to the tape. You might talk to a dermatologist; maybe  your red itchy stop could be healed up and you could use tape again. I am curious about what kind of wig you wear, as I feel like I have worn them ALL, and with the right fit and elastic tabs in the back, they fit securely enough for everyday wear. MAYBE you don't really NEED the tape.. Do you have a hair stylist who knows wigs that could help you? With making the one you have fit your head better? I'm always amazed how much these long term hair stylists know... tricks and tips.. (IF they work with wigs) I've got a name and number I could share with you, depending on where you live. let me know if I can help. Sorry about the new allergy. (:
