Effective immediately, all businesses must receive written authorization from Alopecia World before posting or uploading any advertisement or promotional material, including marketing videos and products photos, to Alopecia World.

In addition, businesses may not use any feature of Alopecia World to spam its members.

This policy does not prohibit members of Alopecia World from continuing to mention, discuss, recommend, or debate commercial products and services in the larger context of discussions about various alternatives and options available to people with alopecia.

However, no member may create discussions or groups, post photos or videos or any other content on Alopecia World for the sole purpose of promoting or attempting to sell a particular commercial product or service without prior written authorization from Alopecia World.

For example, this means that anything resembling business product announcements, advertisements, buyers guides, or affiliate links are strictly prohibited unless Alopecia World makes an exception in writing.

Alopecia World also reserves the right to permit other reasonable and responsible exceptions at its sole discretion.

All members of Alopecia World, individuals as well as institutions, must abide by this new advertising policy.

Any member who violates this policy may receive a warning from Alopecia World or simply be banned from Alopecia World.
