Any suggestions on where and how to start my search for a prosthetic wig?? Anybody have good experiences with them? Advice needed! Thank u!!!!
I haven't had a prosthetic wig yet, but I would look into "Freedom Wigs" if I were you. They are located in New Zealand, but they have representatives all around. I have seen one of their pieces in person, and they look very realistic. They can be very costly depending on the length of the hair. I want to say up to $6,000. I haven't heard of any other companies. Also, your head must be shaved to wear one of their pieces.
Yes, they have a very natural hairline with human hair. They take a mold or scan of your head than they create the wig so it is custom for your head.
This is the website for "Freedom Wigs"...

I would love to get one, but I can't imagine spending that much. Also, I don't think I would like all the maintenance that it would require.
Oh, if you do a search on here under the blogs or discussions for "vacuum", you can see previous posts about it. You might find other companies that way as well. There are women on here who wear them so you might find pictures as well.
If you are looking for high quality long lasting human hair wigs at wholesale prices I would recommend www.luxurylaceforless.com They have lace wigs, human hair wigs, thin skins, extentions.
I purchased my last two wigs from them and have been very happy! Otherwise www.hairlineillusions.com is good but they are really expensive.
