hello i got alopecia 2yrs ago and have always had the little white hairs until 3months ago where i now have regrowth and my own hair colour :) so fingers crossed its a start for you, x

I had temporary AU once. All regular body hair came back, but the head? Only white wispy stuff, along the rims, that I usually trim once it reaches three inches. I went to a blond wig with dark roots because my eyebrows are brunette but sideburns are white!

I'm pretty sure it varies from person to person. I have had AU for about 5 years now and since losing every stitch of hair on my body, I've managed to get my eyelashes back, partial eyebrows and some hairs in some unwanted places! LOL When I first noticed the growth (also had some "fuzzies" on my head) I decided to try seeing a dermatologist again and actually regained about 75% of hair back on my head but it has since fallen back out. Still have the lashes though! All I can tell you (from personal experience) is it IS possible, I have heard success stories so don't rule it out, but try not to get your hopes up. I've pretty much figured now from this site that alopecia really is different for each person. I haven't really got my hopes up as I know this disease has a habit of taking away just as quickly as it gives; but it was rather strange seeing hair all of a sudden. To just get eyebrows and eyelashes back would be a dream at the minute, so thanks for your stories which are very encouraging:) Good luck to everyone right back!!
