Hi all, Been awhile since I posted, but finally accepted having no hair only took a year....yeah go me, but now I am looking for a new Job as my Job is being made redundant and I have an interview on Monday but don't know how to address the Alopecia thing my current work place was accepting but the idea of having to make new employers understand is hard, Just wondering does anyone have a booklet or a letter they have attached to there resume's or given out that explains it, something that states having no hair does not make me incapable of working....
Thanks in advance...
I think I will wear the wig and just see how it goes, if i feel the need to bring it up I will but at the end of the day its my skills they want, so I'll take each one as it goes and go from there.
I go to interviews in my wig. Agree with TallGirl. Go to ask a manager website.
.frustrations at work:
..have to put scrubs on over my head a few times a day.... readjust wig or it looks unkempt.
Co-worker freaked out in bathroom... guess they thought I was fixing my wig..but I was really just fluffing my hair like any normal person. The scurried away quickly. That was a little extra!!
It's funny how others can change their hairstyle at drop off a hat, but we get treated like an outcast for our wigs.
Just venting... welcome encouragement, tips and comedy.
