is anyone familar with scarring alopecia

Yes...I have or had scarring alopecia.

My understanding is that scarring alopecia is permanent hair loss due to the bulb being destroyed.

I have scarring alopecia also. I have lichenplanopilaris that looks like frontal fibrosing alopecia. I have run the gammut of treatments and now am not on anything for it. I am at a turning point as my doctor is recommending cell sept but I am a little concerned about the side effects. I do have some encouraging literature on cell sept and would be happy to send it to anyone who is interested. I have a blog you can check out for some information as well.
