Hey Everyone!

So I'm going to try and set up a GATHERING, or a Meet & Greet of the Alopecians in my home town! I have wanted to do this for awhile now, and I'm READY! BUT! I was hoping I could get some ideas on home to get it started...I have a few but wanted to draw from anyone who has done this already in their home! I have started a flyer to advertise it, and get the word out. i was going to drop it off at doctor's offices, other medical offices and few places around town. Anywhere else?

And for those of you that are in a group or have started one:Do you meet monthly? Where do you like to meet? What does a gathering consist of? Do you have guest speakers?

I'm wanting it to be professional, fun and a SAFE place for people to meet each other.

I look forward to hearing everyone's IDEAS!!!!!

Thanks and love u all to pieces!

National Alopecia Areata Foundation helps you set these up. They have their own guidelines if they help. They may help put the word out in your regional area to those who are on their lists.

Also, try wig shops and places that sell beauty supplies (wig shampoo). Schools, colleges. Hat shops.
Ours: monthly, snacks and liquids, run by a guy working in counseling who also has alopecia...what luck!
Get e-mail addreses and sent maps ahead of the meeting. Good luck!
