Sum lamp treatment

Hi I lost my hair in the first quarter of this year, I have heard that sunlight will help it grow back, does anyone know if a standard sun lamp will do this, as I really am not ready to go out into the sun without covering my head.  Any advise would be gratefully received, I think I have UA as all the hair on my body has now gone including my eye lashes.

I am waiting for an appointment for blood tests, and have changed my diet, however there are no signs yet of regrowth.

 I live in a sunny hot place.. Sun.. Hmmmm!,  For the last twenty years I have been working outside in the sun and the rain and the not so very cold. Without a hat most of the time. ( I work around helicopters and hats are not allowed, they could get sucked into the turbine engine). Yes, Back to the sun.  Do try it for about 15 min a day till you get some tan on your head. See if it works!  Me, I'm still bald albeit, I have a good tan on my head.. Curly

 I just noticed the date on your post... You just had your hairloss. Wow, I know you are in real pain over this.

I live in the uk so not much sun here, so when we have the odd sunny day I hide in the back garden and go hairless,  i am not brave enough to venture out yet I am still hoping my hair will grow back although now my lashes have gone so not expecting it any tine soon, does anyone know if it will. ?

Hi Poppy,

 I am gonna say--- yes, your eyelashes will grow in and perhaps within a year all your hair will be back and you will be wondering how to have it cut.

  I am using the power of positive thought...  You want to use positive thought too!  Between now and next year, please do live your life normal as if your head was full of hair.. Wait, perhaps even increase your flirting with the oppisite sex just to make sure you still have that ability... You are still you so don't become a person who hides away.  Grab life by the bollocks (as y'all say) and don't let any time slip away.

  Funny thing, when my hair fell out (took about a week)  , I took a five month tour of Europe. Saw lots of things and had a wonderful time.  Ever been to the States?    .. Curly
