hi all.
I have had alopechia for 2 years now and still can not come to terms with. I have been hiding inside my house, trying to hide from everybody.Does anybody here had eyebrowtattoo's put on as I am seriously considering getting them done, and also scalp tattoo's seen some places in USA that do it and looks really good,
Thanks
I've been thinking of having eyebrow tatoos too but saw on many sites that you shouldn't do it if you have an auto-immune disease. Haven't seen my dermatologist yet to ask her why but alopecia universalis and in my case Hashimoto thyroiditis are both auto-immune diseases. Ever read or heard anything about that in other countries ?
I've had my eyebrows tattoos for several year with the hair stroke technique. I'm due for a touch up. But it is the best thing I ever did for myself image. Go to a specialist and see there work beforehand.
As far as the scalp tattoo i have been thinking about this as well. i have a consultation coming up this May. www.hishairclinic.com for micro pigmentation.
I have my eyebrows tattooed. The first time I had it done the technician did it too deep into the skin and too dark, it made a scab after and took about 2 weeks to heal...the second time I had it done (just this January) I had a different technician who was fantastic. It did not need any time to heal, she only went into the top layers of skin so no scab after and she used much lighter and warmer colours so my eyebrows are brown not black. I get mine touched up approx one every 12-18 months. The hair stroke technique is very natural. Do make sure your technician does not go too deep into the skin - it should not hurt, if it does they are probably going too deep and ask them to use warm tones so when the ink fades it does not go a blue/grey tone it should just fade out to lighter browns. It really is worth doing, your brows frame your eyes and do give you confidence back. Good luck
I love my brow tats. I got the "feathered" look and they look SO REAL!! Even my bestie didn't guess and she and I are as close as sisters. My hubby loves them, maybe because I feel so good about them. I also got my upper lids tatooed and this is good too. People expect to see lashes and so they do, I guess. The above comments are wise and I echo much of what they say. Be SURE to have an expert do this for you---it is more expensive, but it is your face and worth getting it done right. Blessings.
I got my eyebrows tattooed on just a couple of days ago, and it has taken my a few days to get used to them, but honestly I don't know how I went as long as I did without them. It used to take me an hour to get ready in the morning (and that was a full face of makeup), but this morning I only put eyeliner on, it took me five minutes and I feel confident enough to leave the house. I would highly recommend them. But definitely do your research, like with any tattoo or procedure, and especially because this is meant to get your confidence back, you don't want an amateur ruining that opportunity for you. I wish you the best! :)
I have been thinking about having this done as well. Does anyone know of any good places on the East Coast of US? I live in PA. Or any suggestions on how to find a good place, I am clueless on how to search for something like this. Thanks
I just had my eyebrows and eyeliner tatooted about 5 days ago. It was a big step but I am so glad i did it. The eyebrows are a light brown and use the hair stroke technique so no one even could tell I did them. The eyeliner was a bit more interesting. Definitely more painful and not sure if I would do that again but the eyebrows are a definite thumbs up
