I am currently 100% AU. Last year I had 50% hairloss on my head and I made the big decision to shave it off. It was going to look better than the funny hair cuts and comeovers I had. I didn't want to go to the beach that summer with my kids and worry about how I would look coming out of the water with out a hat.

So I made the big move. I had a moment of why me, then started shaving. I took it really well. I made a funny video while I was shaving.

I told my 7 year old son what I was doing. He said I looked real good. He was honest and said that he would need a couple minutes to get used to my new look.

Then it was time to make my reveal to my 2 year old daughter. I sat her down, told her that I had something to show her. When I took off my hat, her eyes took in my new look, she grabbed my hat and sweetly put it back on my head. She was not ready for my new look.

Now my kids sometimes give my shinny head a kiss and say "Grow Grow Grow". The kisses help. One day it will grow!!!

I want to thank Headblade and a nice person from AW for recommending it to me. It worked great. I miss my head blade, around 5 months after shaving my hair stopped growing. I will say 100% looks a lot better than a patchy 50%.

My next post will be about my wonderful tattoo artist. I will be seeing her soon for my 2nd eyebrow tatoo visit.

You sound like you're doing great. I have a headblade, and while I don't mind shaving would prefer for the couple of patches of hair left to all be gone. No muss, no fuss. I agree 100% looks better than the patchy 50%. I love your profile pix. I took one on the "Game of Thrones" throne in Philadelphia. I was wearing a hat when I sat down and then before they snapped the picture I removed my hat. Very surprisingly, everyone cheered. Continue with your wonderful attitude and vibes.

My picture is from Philadelphia as well. I took my whole family. I had them make the serious face in the picture. The show is great....I am really enjoying it. I have read them all and I am ready for Dance with Dragons in July.

Here I am in my photo. You and your family look great. I am going to begin reading the books. My sister just finished the first one and she said it explains a lot. I hope they see the whole series through. - Lili

You look great. Is there a philadelphia area AA group?

You know, I've looked for one and according to the listing in NAAF.org there is supposed to be one, however I contacted the person 3 times and never received a response. I gather there is none. Interested in starting one up together? God knows there is a need. Just a thought.
