I tried a few treatments such as steroid injections into my scalp, homeopathy, acupuncture, diet, but nothing worked for me unfortunately. I lost all my hair and then it regrew after a few years without any imput from me...after another few years it fell out again. Now I have my brows and eyelashes back to some extent for which I'm very grateful. Alopecia is very unpredictable and what works for one person may not work for another.

How long did it take for all your hair to fall out. I'm at the start I was just diagnosed. So getting any input helps

It took 9 months both times my hair fell out...it was excrutiatingly slow. I finally shaved off what little was left. I became AU in both instances. Now I don't know what catagory I fall into as my pubic hair has regrown as well as a lot of my brows and lashes - I can even wear mascara now woohoo...and I have some regrowth on top of my head. No other body hair like on my legs etc. I wear a wig every day as I prefer to blend into society. I've also had my brows tatooed on as well as eyeliner. You may not lose all your hair Heidi and your patches may regrow. Alopecia is very unpredictable.
