At work (I work @ Walmart) today a customer asks to borrow a pen and a piece of paper. He writes down a youtube channel about how baking soda/powder (can't remember which, lol) cures cancer. Then a co-worker tells me a customer pulled her aside to ask "Is she sick? Is she OK? Is it contagious?" Just frustrating. Almost makes me forget the couple customers I've had tell me I'm beautiful &/or am rocking the bald look, lol or that they wish they had my courage or had done it sooner (gone w/out anything on their head).
Wow I guess he likes to "help" people but that was an interesting way to do it. Try not to let it bring you down; you are rocking the bald look in your picture. And it is amazing you got the courarge to do it.
Just quietly hand out business cards with the site below on them (with personnel's approval) to rude people. Maybe coworkers can do the same and just say, "Look it up at home!", then move on.
You rock the bald look girl! :) That is a good idea Tallgirl.
I have been thinking about designing a t-shirt with some kind of bald slogan on it. Sometimes I want to wear a sign around my neck when I go bald. LOL.
i cant get the courage to rock my bald head as much as I want to! i think its so ridic that people must always resort to thinking bald = sick.. As it is 2012 and not every bald man or woman is sick.. i think you and every other woman that has the strength, courage, and I will say balls to go with out hair on their heads inspire me!
@Alliegator... I say making a sign or shirt is an awesome idea!!! until the world is wearing them as well! lol
Alliegator
I sometimes get fed up that I also want to wear a sign on my head lol
I feel your pain. This week was rough for me also. I think you are absolutely beautiful. Opinions are like butt holes, everyone has one. You did the right thing by posting so you can get the encouragement to rise again.
Hugs to you my beautiful sister. Stand tall and continue to stand proud.
Coutesy of Oscar Wilde: "There is only one thing worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about".
Thanks for the support, everyone.
