well hello, i am 27 and ive only just lost my hair, it all started a few wks bak wen i first took an allergic reaction to the sun, i was covered in blisters but after a few days of usin strong cream i was gettin better, then less than a week later i noticed a bald patch on my head the size of a 50p piece, wat a fright i got, but there on after it was fallen out rapidly, i would be sittin still and my hair was just comin away from me, i now only have strands left which i might now just shave off as it looks terrible now, its been very scary but had no choice but to deal with it,
my friend had told me i maybe sufferin from a disease called lupus but wen i was sent to a dematologist i felt i wasnt treated very well, so my doctor is gonna get me more blood tests done to rule out lupus,
i have been off my work for 5wks but im goin bak next week, im very nervous to face every1 again but im lucky there all great people, im dealin with it alot better than i thot i would, altho i have had a couple of days this week wen ive just cried, wouldnt wish it on anybody, but im tryin to look at it that it could be worse but its hard to believe that at the moment,

Don't be nervous. Be calm. You can do it. Whether with a bald head or wearing a wig you can face the world boldly.
hair not hair, you are the same.

WOW, kind of strange how it started out eh. Keep me posted, I was also tested for Lupus, and it was negative. The strangest thing... Every since I lost all my hair and have Alopecia Universalis, I can't even go out in the sun, I turn into hives instantly. Well I know it's hard to give advice, but I know what you're going through. I still cry. It's a big shock and change, and what kills me is not knowing why...You're right though, it could be worse, we could of lost our hair to chemo, or we could of lost sight, sound. I've never spoken with another who suffers from the same medical condition, kind of feels good :)
