The first thing that crosses my mind when I think about alopecia, the ones that it effects, is how strong we are. Maybe we all got it as a blessing in disguise to strengthen our character and our person as a whole. Yes there are unbearable days when you just want to curl up in a ball in bed and not face the world anymore, but we simply can't. Anytime any person, oblivious to the fact that emotionally some are weak, ask innocent questions without knowing, but it makes us stronger. We are the most beautiful people in the world as we are unique! Different than anyone else and it makes us stand out from our own talents. We are admired, bullied, hated and loved. We are alopecians. No one else can change that.
There is a concept in Judiaism that G-d gives you only what you can handle and the challenges He gives you makes you stronger
it's definitely not an easy condition to have, so the only way that helps me to put it into perspective is that apart from AGA i am very healthy. my limbs work, my organs function, i have my eyesight and can smell and taste and touch. thanking God just for this usually lifts my spirits right away. :)
That is totally true, every night before I go to bed I try to think about 10 things I am thankful for and the 5 senses is always on it
Praise the Lord...we are wonderfully made and it is our season...lets walk in it with our heads high, looking up to God for His continue strength to endure.
