What is Alopecia World to you?

Alopecia World member Willow recently wrote us and gave our beloved community a wonderful compliment. She wrote, "I think your web(site) is a miracle to some people, a helping hand to some, but it's an extended family to us all."

We are grateful beyond words that Alopecia World has come to mean so much to so many people. Not just the more than 1,200 amazing individuals who are now registered members, but also the thousands of unregistered visitors who hang out in Alopecia World each month!

What does Alopecia Word means to me.... let's see... it's the 1st public place where I've put a picture of myself bald and... it's a place where I feel good about me, feel included...It does help me accept my condition. thanks so much for putting this site together!

Willow summed it up best " it's an extended family to us all." What can one say about a safe haven where one feel free to speak their mind, without fear of judgement, knowing that regardless of the day, someone, somewhere will offer encouragement, a hug or a laugh that helps the sun to shine a little brighter. Thank you...

When I found this website, I exhaled. I finally seen that my little girl is not alone. It is good to know that there is such support. I am inspired by all the people on here. Thank you Alopecia World :o)

This Website is great, it is a healing bond for the soul,your not alone and people here make you feel like that,acceptance is real here, you can free your mind and stand strong and win the battle with this kind of support!
