For those of you that I have heard ask this week, I am copying this information from the National Alopecia Areata Foundation profile on Facebook as it was written:
For the last 24 years, the National Alopecia Areata Foundation has put on a four day conference that has changed the lives of the thousands of attendees. The conferences are for people of all ages who have alopecia areata or care about someone who does. It provides the attendee with the information that they need, including the latest medical and research updates, to better understand and manage alopecia areata. It also provides attendees with a wealth of support.
..Become a fan of Happythankyoumoreplease, a film heading to Sundance Film Festival that features a young woman with alopecia universalis. Rachel Fleit, who inspired the character, will also be one of the guest speakers at this year's NAAF conference!happythankyoumoreplease
"happythankyoumoreplease" captures a generational moment – young people on the cusp of truly growing up, tiring of their reflexive cynicism, each in their own ways struggling to connect and define what it means to love and be loved. ...I am assuming this was the 2010 Conference?
Though I am newly diagnosed with AA, and I have not yet been to the conference, I can't wait to go, and meet my new AW friends.
Move information about the conference can be found here on Alopecia World, or you can view the info under my events on my page. I hope this information helps your questions. I hope you will consider going. I have heard nothing but great things from others!
