Well I just held another support meeting and it went well. It was a small turnout but that was okay because someone new to the group needed some in-depth attention and all the right people were there for him - coincidentally. I'm going to go ahead with plans for an afternoon in the park on National Bald Out day which I will add to the events (soon I hope). Other than National Bald Out day (Now International Alopecia Day) and the camp, our group will be taking a break until September which is a bit of a shame because I've had so many new contacts lately that couldn't make it to this past meeting. No matter how hard you try - you CAN'T please EVERYONE! :(

As far as life is concerned (I do have a bit of one), I just had my one year review at work which, albeit went well, did not go as well as it should have. I really haven't posted much lately but things at work went kind of haywire for a short time. I was concerned that I was being discriminated against and had loads of information to prove my point but to make a long story short, I got suspended for making trouble in the neighbourhood but the big boss was shaking in her booties (like stuttering so bad she couldn't read my letter of suspension). When I got back to work everything was sudenly working the way it should - OK mostly, it's a big company! Getting back to the point of my review, my "grades" perse were not as they should have been and apparently I'm not doing the things that I do (I dare them to watch all the recordings they have on tape for security)! Whatever though - I'm a woman of many talents and I'm sure I'll come across something else in the fall (best to wait until all the college kids to back to school). It doesn't matter if things go poorly at this work place anyhow seeing as they refuse to be a reference, it's all about time on the frontline baby ;)

I have some new pets as well, I'm slowly becoming a combination of a crazy cat lady and a zoo keeper. My new additions are an albino ferret named Zen and a rescued stray tabby which will be dubbed Monster at the end of the week when noone claims him. At least my 11 year old daughter will be getting a newspaper route to help with the vet costs for the kitten. Responsibility is a wonderful thing to learn! On top of the ferret and 2 cats we have a guinea pig and a tankful of various fish. I think it's time to stop collecting animals though, I've got so much on the go. I will also be going to Philly in August to do a workshop at CAP's conference. I'm so excited about that. I kind of wish they'd have given me some more time with the kids but I'll take what I can get and it's right at the end of the conference so I feel a little pressured to make a positive and powerful lasting impression for them to take home. It's kinda like "OK you're on, we'll give you a shot but like, no pressure man"! (a wink accompanied by a sparkly used car salesman's white as white grin). Sorry, I've been writing a lot lately, my imagination creeps out everywhere now. I'm sure I'll do fine, the kids don't make me nervous at all I just hope they like my workshop s'all. If you've read this far I'm totally amazed and congratulate you for making it to the end my dreadful ranting however I thank you for "listening". G'night and the sweetest of dreams :)
