When I got alopecia areata
I had Alopecia Areata since I was 2 years old. I loved it ever since and no one has ever made fun of me because of it. It is a common diease and it is not cancer. I make many friends with it and they know about it. I have many friends on Alopecia World but they are much older than me. I wear knitted hats, Bandanas, wigs and speaking of wigs I have a new one comeing right now and it is made of real hair that people donated to a founation!! I saw the movie and people love to donate thier hair for the cause. And in my conition my hair grows back then falls out again.

What a wonderful attitude, I love it! Lois is right, you are a natural born spokesperson and I'm glad you are educating your friends. I just bought a few wigs myself, they itch and make me hot, but I like to switch my hair or lack of hair, sometimes. Thanks for the great blog and have a blessed weekend!
