this is cool! I have never done this before & I am so happy to find people out there who have Alopecia. I got is at the age of 16 (High School) & that sucked! The I went for treatments & then my hair came back until I was 33 & I am now 37.I guess its not all that bad.I love the fact that I dont have to shave anymore too! Smooth like a baby's ass!
The toughest for me is where do you find good wigs? My insurance doesnt cover this at all?

Well Hi and comment as above is very good off baldgirlsdolunch.

I bought mine from hothair whom tried loads on me, gave me a discount because of alopecia and cut it for me free of charge as i found fringe too long, they were indeed very helpful and sympathetic and didnt make me feel a freak!

Have also purchased some lovely wigs off the internet only problem is when you first start out you dont know what suits you - so sadley most eventhough good were a waste of money to be honest and ive never worn any of them.

You need to try before you buy and make sure whatever type of wig you choose is you and that you feel confident and comfy with it. Sadley I feel out with my wig because people said they liked it better than my own hair, so mine became the rugrat i hated, i just didnt get on with it at all - but its a lovely wig all the same.

Wish you well and good luck

PaulaYoung.com is where I have purchased human hair wigs that are reasonably priced as compared to other sites. I have purchased human hair wigs, and decent human hair wigs, at Paula Young for as low as $49.00. The same type of wig has been listed on other sites for much more money. I have never seen any wig out of the box look good but that may be because I had straight hair and tend to buy only straight hair wigs. Curly wigs may be different and you may be able to wear them without any help from a hairdresser. I own 2 vacuum cap wigs and they are extremely expensive but are truly wonderful.
