I was the same way with regards to not getting sick but recently got chicken pox after being off gluten for about a year. My hair had already started coming back in before I contracted the chicken pox. I have read somewhere that people who have alopecia are less susceptible to viral and bacterial infections. And it looks like this is a resistance that will disappear as our alopecia disappears :(

Hi Matt,

I have AU (no hair), and I haven't been sick ONCE since I've had it. I think it definitely has to do with what Robert posted above about our superhuman immune systems.

That's why I told my mom that I didn't need the H1N1 flu shot

Where did you find all this info.

The stuff I read was on another alopecia site a few years ago so it's as reliable as any other information on the internet I guess. It certainly seemed true in my case but for all I know I'm just part of the regular population of people who doesn't get sick often. One day I may conduct a poll on this site to see, there's a guy here doing a blood type poll which I thought was a very good idea.
