Well... I´ve, for a couple of years, thinking about getting a wig. Never had one before and it´s quite hard to know where to start. What kind of haircut and color, and where to get?

Finally I found a store in a town nearby where I will go next weekend. Maybe they can give me some advice about it. Then - if I decide to buy one - I only need the courage to wear it. By loosing my hair at the age of 2 I really don´t know anything else. Therefore I´m not really sure that I´ve got the courage, despite it would be really nice to be outdoors without having people starring at you.

NOT. Why start wearing a wig now? You have been through the most difficult years ...teenage years..without one. If you do go to the store try and take a family member with you, at least to get an honest opinion. Sales people will tell you anything to get your money. I remember the 100% percent guarntee that if I did not like it
they would give me a new wig or money back.....hahaha They did neither. What they did was kept making adjustments until I finally gave up. Whatever you do....good luck.

Thanks for your feedback :) Well as you both says I lived with it for all my life and the staring doesn´t really bother me most of the time. But there are some days it does, those days would be nice to get rid off - just for convinience :o)

Never, _never_ believe sales-people, they´ll sale their own mother if they get enough money for her. So , nope , I won´t trust them with this fairly important decision.

Revieved some tips of a wig called "Freedom Wig" anyone used it, and have any to say about it?

Hey Niclas.... skip the wig.... Your look handsome just the way you are!!...no need for a wig.. Anyways...freedom wigs are pretty pricey too...if you are curious of what it would be like to own and wear a wig ...i would aim for a cheaper option...so that you dont spend thousands of dollars on something you might not like.....just my take;)

Thank you Kathleen, always good to get as many opinions as possible about it due to my own lack of knowledge. Maybe I should look at and try some cheaper ones before deciding. I would nonetheless use it only a couple of days per month :)

If you decide to get a wig I would suggest starting out with something inexpensive and play with it a little. You may like it and you might not. At least you'll keep some money in your pocket for a rainy day.

I think you look good the way you are! Wigs are not very confortable..unless you plan to spend a lot of $$$. Galvin is right, hardest part is over.

Hi Mikael,

Had a bit of a hangover last weekend so I didn´t manage to visit the store but I will try to start with some less expensive ones. Do you have any suggestions of great stores (Internet stores as well as real ones) located in Sweden?
