Wow this experience has been the hardest thing I have ever gone through. A little over a year ago I got a concussion and was having trouble coping with some of the ongoing symptoms so I finally broke and gave into getting help and was put on an anti anxiety med and sleep med. Things were finally starting to settle down for me, but then I realized about four months into the med my hair was starting to fall out, and I was getting a burning or tingling in my scalp. The shed started in September and although it has come out gracefully I have lost at least 50% of my hair, and I am noticing my eyebrows are slowly coming out also. I have been devastated and consumed by this experience and was already having trouble with anxiety. I was just hoping to find some support and wondering if anyone else has experienced such a situation. Thanks so much for taking the time to read my blog and responding, I am happy to have joined and look forward to chatting with those going through this experience. Cheers Jan
Hi Jan...I know exactly what you're going through. Only the people who experience this knows what its like. I find it useless to talk about it with others, they think "its just hair". I have had diffuse hair loss and itching for almost 2 years now, everyday I wake up praying that today will be the day it stops. Your body went through some trauma, maybe it triggered the hair loss. Its difficult because alopecia is so unpredictable.
