Your personal Marbo hair products (activator, lotion & shampoo) guinea pig

Hello fellow alopecians!!! Today I will start my 7th day of using Marbo hair products for the treatment of Alopecia Areata. I have decided that I will start this blog with weekly updates to allow everyone to see my progress, if any (fingers crossed) or set backs. This product is from Europe (Serbia to be exact) and according to the website it has been around for 20 years in Europe and has finally opened for business in California within the last year. The ingredients are basically herbs with exception to Denatured alcohol, consisting of Mineral salts, Spring water, Rosemary, Nettle, Sage, Walnut seed, Garlic, Chamomile, Birch, White willow, Burdock and Ivy, all three of the products are in liquid form. No nasty chemicals and above all no side effects. After 7 days of usage, the one thing I have noticed (because its too early for mostly anything else) is that the itch associated with my hair fall which I believe is due to the inflammation caused by alopecia areata, has almost completely vanished and the mass amounts of hair fall in my eyebrows has all but ceased with the exception of 1 or 2 strays from time to time. My scalp has also mostly stopped itching and none of my patches have gotten worse. The way I use this product is 1st thing in the morning I squeeze some of the Lotion into my palm and massage it throughout my scalp and eyebrows (it dries immediately) 30 minutes later I then wash my scalp and eyebrows using the Shampoo and leave it in for 3 minutes before rinsing. Lastly I apply the activator to my dry scalp and eyebrows (it also dries immediately with massage) and it is left on. I then go through my day and again apply the activator before bed time leaving it in for the night (you only have to use Activator 1 time per day but it gives you the option to use it twice so I do). I have followed that routine every day for 6 days straight with no other medical treatments and will continue to do so for approximately 3 months, which is the amount of time of usage stated on the bottle before real results are supposed to be noticeable (it states that the first positive signs of regrowth may be seen by the 20th day of continuous usage). The company states that this product is extremely successful in ALL TYPES OF ALOPECIA AREATA. Ok well this was my introduction and I can't wait to update next week. Oh by the way, I have multiple patches of hair loss on my top right side of my head, back of my head, ophiasis type loss on my left side and patches on top left side of my head, tiny spots in the front of my head, my left eyebrow is 75% gone and right eyebrow about 20% gone. Wish me luck!!!!!

Have you tried 5% Minoxidil?

Im honestly thinking about it ... but I've heard that it can also make the condition worse.

Never heard of it making it worse!

I ordered Rogaine (Minoxidil) because the cortisone shots are not working and neither is the ointment. I've heard it works well if you apply corticosteroid ointment 30 minutes after applying the Rogaine ..... Getting fed up with my Ophiasis pattern and am so paranoid that I Buzz my own head now ... I hate this stupid disease!!!! Every time I feel like its staring to get better it gets worse all over again. Im constantly itchy, especially in my eyebrows which get all patchy constantly. I just wish something would give me the slightest bit of hope but this disease is nothing but daily negativity.

Hi Joe,
Sorry to hear you are having a rough time right now. I know it can really suck.
I've never really had any itching. I'm sure you have tried everything to combat this too.
I've been keeping my head shaved all summer and used the minoxidil 5% twice a day. I'm letting the hair grow in the past 4 days to see if I have had any improvement.
Hang in there!
Jeff

Jeff did you have any positive results from the minoxidil? I have been using rogaine foam on a buzzed head with a # 1 - 2 razor for the last 3 weeks two times a day religiously and then apply the cortico steroid ointment a half hour later. Not supposed to see results for 4 monthe so I have a long way to go but Im hoping you had some results so that I have something to look forward to.

I've been using the minoxidil twice a day for about 5 years now.
I went from AA to AU back to AA. Is it natures course or the Minoxidil? I guess will never know...

Hi,
I’ve came across your reviews about these Marbo products and I felt the need to say something about it, because I have been using it for 5 months and I honestly felt the difference. My hair started growing again and falling decreased. It is not a scam, you just have to be persistent. Nothing happens overnight, especially with the condition like this. I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata, since I had one big bald patch and excessive hair falling, so you can create a picture of my condition before I started using these products. It is relatively new in US I assume. I heard about it here http://www.marbo-kosa.com/en/marbo-products/. They are selling this products over 20 years in Europe…
I hope you all get well!

I just bought the Marbo 3 suite. Activator, lotion and shampoo. the only thing i would say is i do not expect a miracle cure. I had Alopecia Areata 10 years ago and 10 years later he's back. I am not shaving again, too much of a daily pain, so i will give the organic stuff a chance. Can't hurt.
