Absolutely, you can ask me about my wig. It's not human hair - it's a synthetic lace wig. I am having some problems also right now when i wear it. The last two days it's really bothered me to the point i have to take it off and take the cap off i wear underneath - its almost too much pressure. Let me know what i can help you with! Leslie
Hi, I am sorry if I'm late replying, I had a minor eye surgery and I was off line for a while.
I didn't shave, but I have cut my hair very short to make it easier to hide it beneath the wig, but you don't need to do that. I can't see the post you're talking about it, can you send me a link please.
Hi Karina, I wear my wig about 10-12 hours a day. Can't comment on the gym as I don't work out much. If I'm going on a longer walk, I usually wear a cheaper wig with a hat as I don't want to damage my good one.
Hi Karina, hope you are well. No my hair is not a wig yet. That picture was taken last year and although I can still hide the bold patches my hair line has totally changed and makes me look very different. I have scarring alopecia which means my hair doesn't fall out in clamps but gradually. bought a wig the other day but I'm not sure when I will be able to wear it.
good luck. Adela
Hey Karina
I am doing the same..getting used to my wig! I get it styled on Weds. Its an adjustment for sure but hopefully with God's help I can get used to it! I hope you can too!! God Bless Karina!
Ciao
Hi Karina,
It depends on what kind of wig you want and I don't know the rules about customs in Argentina. If you meant a vacuum, it wouldn't be possible to send it unless we had previously met and done your scan as they are custom and need to fit you exactly. If that doesn't answer your question, contact me at dfuller@webryders.com and I can explain more fully.
Hi Karina! My wig is the Erika style by Amore. It's a synthetic monofilament top (meaning it has a somewhat realistic looking part). I found a stylist that was comfortable cutting wigs to thin it out and cut it in a more modern style. I got it when I still had about half my hair left and it was comfortable to wear over your hair. Hope this helps!
Thanks for writing a post. Yes I am wearing a wig from Fuller Hair. They scan your head and than make a suction fit wig that I can swim in or what ever. Even a hairdresser doesn't seem to know the difference. They last a good 4-6 yrs if you are good to them. I love the music on your wall. Have a wonderful day.
Hey Karina...my wig is like your friends Laura and Donna Evans. i do wear it over my hair that i still have. it is light and cool though. i never used to wear bangs but with this wig situation it is necessary and the easiest....hope that helps!! have a great day!
Hi, you teach in Argentina? I wear synthetic wigs from Merle Norman, a cosmetic store here in the states. So, less expensive than human hair. Look forward to getting to know you better!
Hi Karina
just wanted to stop and say hi! i hope your Easter was a good one. im still working on getting used to my wig and will get the restyling done next week..after i decide how i want it styled. i keep you in my daily prayers friend and hope you will feel a bit of joy each day or better yet alot of joy each day!! hugs to you!!! love Joy
Hi Karina,
I actually have two wigs and they are equally as comfortable. The first I bough was a synthetic wig made by Noriko. I actually bought it here in Melbourne, Australia but have seen it online. The people in the wig shop were really helpful and kept trying different styles on me. The second wig is a real hair wig made by Jon Renau (the one in my profile picture). I bought that online without trying it on. It fits really well too. I have a couple of bald patches on my head and the rest of my hair is fairly short. I do find that I have to have my hair gelled so that the wig stays still. I had a funny experience the other day. I took my real hair wig to my hairdresser and left it there to be washed and blow waved. They rang me to tell me it was ready. The sent me home with it on a mannequin head. I walked down the street carrying my wig. I don't wear wigs all the time. I prefer to wear a cap. I have accumulated quite a collection of caps. Everyone at my workplace know I have alopecia and are quite fine with me wearing the caps. Try not to worry too much Karina. Find a good wig salon in your area and try on lots of wigs. You will find one that is just YOU! Hope I have been of some help.
