Hello Orbit,
Sorry but I had to write you a comment, as I read your profile and interesting I am also of Scottish/Polish decent. I always considered this heritage very unique, as I have never met anyone else with this background. The family joke was bagpipes and kielbasa together under one roof. :))
I have a question....did you ever attended Alopecia support group meetings in the Toronto area quite a few years ago? Because you look familiar to me, or maybe it's something else...
Thank you Orbit. You know i have never met nor spoke with another person with alopecia until last week when i joined this group. It feels nice, and kind of refreshing, to finally reach out and meet others. Especially those that are near.
Wow you certainly say alot about yourself in your profile. I'll have to adjust mine. It and you are articulate, dynamic, powerful, and beautiful. To me you look best in red. Your profile pic looks great with the southern Ontario sun softly illuminating your beautiful skin. I too like having no hair all over my body, with the exception of eye lashes and brows(which are sparse) . Having no hair is convenient and sensual.
Merry Christmas Orbitz. Hope you have a happy holiday season and
I want to thank you for the beautiful photos. Always brighten my day.
James

Well, it's been over 6 months, but I just have to reply to someone who was gracious enough to give such a nice compliment. Thank you! I dropped the ball in checking back on messages here and then forgot all about it. Ah well. Am ok with the condition, which hit me at about age 50, due to extreme and repeated physical stress is the theory, but I don't know... I'm ok with it, except for not having eyelashes. That hurts (literally!). Anyway, you look great with the scarf...
Hi Orbit,
I have the same scarf as you...I loved it so much that I even got the same one again! LOL...I'll have to start posting some photos of me soon with all the different ones.
do you have any suggestions of what i can do with my daughter's look? almost all her hair is gone and the baseball caps are just not cutting it anymore. i look on line for stuff--wigs are not happening right now for us as she's only 5. what did you do as a child? the baseball caps cover her whole face--i want something where you can acutally see Paige's face. hope you're well. thanks for any advise.

You really look fabulous in the scarf. I certainly couldn't pull it off, but you can! Wow!

Laceey.
I really like sewing, making clothes etc. I've made a few scarves since I've got alopecia. I really should get on and make some more.
