The performance in LA went really well! And, there was no question about being bald...I will be posing a photo shortly. No one even asked me if I have cancer! So, I'm "out" in LA now, too.
Thanks so much for the birthday wishes Galena!!! I spent my birthday recovering from some minor knee surgery (see boldlybaldwomen.blogspot.com - The Bald Pain blurb).
Hello there! Thanks for dropping by to say hi. I am doing well thanks. Summer is here but unfortunately it's been quite chilly and it has been raining for the past few days. English weather is horrible! I was so looking forward to wearing my new summer shorts! lol The pics for my new theme is taken at my mum's shop in Brunei. It was during the soft opening of a new branch. Glad you like 'em! I purposely picked those songs because they are all about not giving up hope and to live the life we deserve! :)
LOL. You are too kind! Although my bf says that I should try out for Britain's Next Top Model instead since I am in the UK haha. Thank you so much for the beautiful comment. How are things over where you are at? Salxx
Galena, thanks for the comment. I agree, some day it will be unnecessary to conceal our baldness because a bald woman will not be considered an oddity.
And there will still be women who want to, and be supported in, wearing some form of cover up or hair. So it will be the best of both worlds!
Blessings and love, LeslieAnn
Thanks for the love and energy you send out to all of us. The discussions with women like you on AW have been of immeasurable help to me. It's really a day-by-day process, isn't it? I wish we were all in closer geographic proximity so we could meet in person. Maybe someday we'll have a "convention" of our own for women who are proudly bald. Best wishes, and love,
Mary
I see that you said your brows are thinning and I would check out
Talika Eyebrow Lipocils http://www.talika.com/product-eyebrow-lipocils-en.html
Revitalash might work but I have not consistenly tried to know, but it made my lashes grow back *happy* ( It is rather pricey but lasts for 6 months). Also I have done steroid shots (every 6 weeks) in my thinning brows once too, and it really seemed to help. Hope this helps, -francie
Thanks! Well I dont use the false lashes because it drove me crazy! I generally use a dark eye pencil and just darken the eye up. My goal is to have them permanently done. I had the eyebrows done and I love it.
hi Galena how are you? i'm 37 years old and i've been losing my eyebrows since i was 21 years old but now it is noticeable. i hope to overcome it. i would like to chat and discuss our situation....
