Hi Lori,My name is Becky and I have a 2 year old boy with aa. I'm having great trouble with his eyes lately as his brows and eyelashes have fallen out. They are starting to grow back. Any ideas or suggestions.
Hi Lori,
How's things my friend? I wanted to let you know that we are planning an "Alopecia beauty day" at a boutique in Chelmsford on June 7th as our first official awareness event. They are opening the boutique just for us and we can try on clothes, take lots of pics, and just have fun together. I got at least 40 dress up costumes for the kids. It is going to be so much fun. I hope you and Alyssa can make it. We are going to do a buffet brunch at the hotel nearby first and then go to the boutique. I hope you can make it. I know it will be great!!! Miss you much. Say hi to the family.
Love and Hugs,
Dotty
Hi Lori,
How are you doing? I hope your holidays were awesome. We have set a date for another get together. It is going to be on January 31st. I hope you and Alyssa can attend again. We had so much fun meeting everyone. I am getting excited already. Let me know what you think. Give Alyssa a big hug for me please.

Dear Lori:
Hi, It's Cynthia and Taylor-Jean. I'm so glad to hear back from you. Tay started losing her hair at the same age as Alyssa. She too lost over half of her hair last year (each time has increased significantly), and she too is in 3rd grade. Right now she has her hair grown back to about an inch in length (the spots/areas that were lost), but 3 nights ago we found a new bald patch starting and growing bigger quite quickly. I went to the NAAF and ordered the DVD that they offer for free. I got 2 copies (1 for us and 1 for Taylor-Jeans school). I don't know if you already have it, but it is FABULOUS! It has given her some new confidence that she has needed sooo badly. I can't believe how much the girls have in common already. Take care and we will talk again real soon!

HI Lori,
I'm trying to get a head count for Saturday. Can you please let me know for sure if you are planning to attend. Thanx a bunch. I hope you can make it. I can't wait to meet everyone. I have a little something for everyone :-) Hope to see you there.
Love and Hugs,
Dotty
Nice to hear from you. No, I have not heard from her teacher yet and I am upset about it. I sent a written note into school today with a copy of the email I wrote. So far, she has not come home unhappy. She loves her new wig and had pics taken last week. Her hair is growing in with color, but we have a long way to go before she will have enough to go without. Her eyebrows are starting to come in sparse white hairs. How is Alyssa? Have you decided to go to the Hair Club for a consult? I don't see her wearing any other wig as long as she needs one. At least for now.
Hi Lori,
Looks like September 13th it is. We are throwing out ideas on places. I have had suggestions of The Cheesecake factory, Vinny T's (Italian), and Firefly (BBQ). I was thinking around 11 - 12ish for brunch or lunch. Let me know your thoughts. I'm really getting very excited. I can't wait to meet everyone.
Love and Hugs,
Dotty
Hi again,
It's at the Boston Center for The Arts, 539 Tremont Street, Boston, MA 02116. It starts on Friday and continues through Sunday. I'm thinking that Saturday is good for our meeting maybe 10 or 11a.m.? My email addy is hottie_dotty@hotmail.com. It's probably easier to keep in touch that way. Do you have any Instant messenger services? I have MSN messenger, Yahoo Messenger, and AOL messenger. Let me know and we can actually chat.
Love and Hugs,
Dotty
Hi Lori,
It's just going to be an informal lunch or dinner. I'm thinking maybe brunch? I love going out for brunch. What do you think? Of course your daughter can come. I would love to meet her. I'm getting really excited and I will start looking into places this week. If you have any ideas, let me know. I will keep you updated.
Love and Hugs,
Dotty
Thanks Lori..The staff are super nice at the hair club and they nailed Sam's color just from pictures. We went back yesterday to trim it more and now it is a perfect cut that looks more like her old style...We went out today and bought some new hair accessories now that she can wear them again. Enjoy the rest of the summer. I can't believe we go back in less then 2 weeks..Cindy
Hi Lori,
Well, the weekend of the 20th is out for me. I work weekends and I was denied the time off for that week. But, I will be taking the weekend before off whether they let me or not. I will call out sick if I have to. Is that a better time for you? There is a tattoo convention in Boston that weekend so I figure we can do something in Boston that weekend because I would love to catch the tattoo convention too. I haven't been able to catch a NAAF meeting because I am always at work, but I have talked to Susan Turner (group leader) before, and I do get the newsletters. The next meeting is on August 17th in Nottingham which I'm pretty sure is at Susan's house. I think you should go. You are really close to me. I live in Effingham (near Ossipee). I was just in Rochester for a foster care class a few weeks ago. I'm only about 40 minutes north of you off Rte 16. I'm excited to be able to meet more people. Let me know what you think.
Love and Hugs,
Dotty
Hi Lori, how is your summer going? Did you ever decide to go the hair club with Alyssa? Samantha is getting her new hair on Wed and will post a pic then. Her treatments are working and hair is filling in. How are things going for Alyssa? take care, Cindy
