I have had alopecia, areata and then eventually universalis, since I was about two years old. Alopecia has, and will, always be a huge part of my life. It has helped make me the great person I am today. I could never picture my life without it, and I don't think I would really want to.

My name is Dotty and I live in NH but I'm originally from Melrose, MA. I run a New England based Alopecia charity called New England Alopecians Unite, Inc. We are hosting an event at the Hopkinton State Park in Hopkinton, MA, for International Alopecia Day next Saturday, July 17th. I hope you can join us. We will be cooking out and swimming and just enjoying the company of our Alopecian family.
