- 44 year old woman born with alopecia on the sides. I grew up without having hair on my sides and have never been able to wear a high pony tail or any up do hairstyle. I hate the strong winds because although I'm Blessed to have hair on my head when the wind blows you can see that I don't have hair on the sides. I'm just looking for people that can understand the different emotions that come with this as and to let others know that We are OK and to embrace our uniqueness 😄
