I read your Follea story and it is appalling. We all seem to spend an outrageous amount of money on "mistakes" ...it is so sad. All we want is hair to look good and last awhile, and not break the bank. Too much to ask for? I got taken for $2K by a local shop years ago. Makes me leery when buying a wig. So many just want your money, and then want nothing more to do with you if you have a complaint. Sorry to hear what you experienced.
I think I probably will post to an appropriate discussion group. It's been very upsetting after spending that kind of $$$.
Thanks so much for the info on Brenda Kay Hair Specialists. Great to know especially that you've had personal experience with her wigs & one lasting that long!! Wow!! I'm in Missoula (MT), so not too far from me either.
I do want to apologize too for posting a lot on my own situation with Follea. It may not have been the appropriate place. I really needed a place to vent yesterday. Thanks for listening. As you know, I am brand new to this site, so trying to figure it all out.
Very interesting about Follea and Peggy Knight. You should put that information about the experience you had on one or two of the discussion groups on wigs. A lot of women would like to know.
Personally, I have several beautiful wigs from Brenda Kay Hair Specialties (she's in Portland and works with people all over the country) and all of them have been under $3K. Virgin European hair, full lace, custom made. No problems at all. My oldest one is from 2003 and still looks great!
