Well I wasn't always so accepting of my alopecia, it took a long time, years in fact. It was much easier for me when I decided I would go the wig route as I fought it for months and felt wearing a wig would be the final defeat of my spirit. Like I was giving up, giving in to this horrible condition. In those days I still believed a positive attitude would regrow my hair lol I know better these days. AA does what it likes regardless of how we cope with it so I decided to go with whatever it did and handle it the best way I could, and for me that was by wearing wig. Not everyone's choice but whatever works for you is what you should do. So far there is no cure. what works for one person doesn't seem to work for another, so I gave up looking for a cure which freed me in a weird kind of way. I think all of us deal with it differently though. So nice to chat with you!
My partner has looked for years as well and now has just accepted that if a cure is found the world will know about it, because whoever finds it will make a fortune, and wig makers will go out of business. John
