I am 66 been through hell these last 5 years. Divorced after 35 years. Lot's of stress, insomnia, moving, etc. Started losing my hair 4 years ago, Had beautiful thick curly hair, now hair is damaged won't absorb conditioners, etc. I used to wear wigs for fun so the transition shouldn't be too difficult. I am fairly attractive, but without something framing my face, I think not so much. My concern is whether to cut my hair real short, it's so thin now no longer curly just frizzy,go for a wig that doesn't have tons of hair, and biggest deal is what to do when not wearing wig around my new boyfriend. You see, I look good in hats and scarves of all kinds. But I suspect my head isn't exactly perfectelly shaped if you know what I mean. I asked him whether he would love me with or without hair, his reply "yep". But he hasn't seen my hair wet (look like a drowned rat) or without it being somewhat swept up. OK,the other option is to say to h---
with it and do the bald thing with make-up earrings and nice clothes, call it a day. How freeing would that be?!!!! So to all my sisters out there, I could use input. I am Spiritually oriented and believe that it is necessary to be who I am no matter what others think and if I can learn to do this with dignity, maybe I can share that experience with someone else! Thanks, Bon
