the unpredictable nature is the worst! well for me personally i had no signs, then perhaps when i was 19 i noticed some of my nails went a bit weird, the doctor didn't know the cause and they resolved themselves,

i turned 21 and hair started dropping fast whilst i was at uni and most of it was gone after about 6-8months later. what a horrible experience. i've tried most treatments that charing cross hospital could offer me and the only one that worked effectively was orally administered steroids. i refused to take them again though because the side effects are too dangerous for my liking.

i'm hopeful that effective treatment or even a cure will be developed soon. :)
