Not a doctor, but work with hair loss clients all day, you stated you had a bald spot, I have never see a completely bald spot with TE, but it might be possible you have both AA and TE. Not to frighten you, but the AA may just be the one spot. TE is so common among people over 35, and there are varying degrees. Some people are very drastic, and some barely noticeable. Don't feel that you are alone, both conditions can be addressed with added hair IF you decide to go that route. If not, good for you! Even though I do hair replacement, I totally support those that choose not to wear hair and wish they did not have to feel any different than any one else.
