- I am a 27 yr old black male. The doctor did no test. Just looked at me scalp and said I have alopecia. My hair feel out in a fifty sent piece size in 2 areas then grew back. Note I've shaved my hair bold because it feel out dramatically this time. It feels like an indent head in the areas that the hair has gone from.

Welcome to Alopecia World. There's always hope that the hair will return; it seems to come and go in 6-mo cycles. Because there is some inflammation around the areas of the follicles, there are sometimes indentations when the hair initially falls out but they should level off with time.
