- I have always liked wearing weave (sewn-in and glued) and shopped for hair more than I did clothes. I would take breaks from the weave and wear "my hair" for about 2-3 weeks and then back to the weave. In 2007, in between hair do's, I noticed my hair had began thinning. By 2009, the thinning became patches and could no longer take the "breaks" in between. I always had to wear the weave to cover up the hair loss. By 2011, I decided that I was going to take better care of my hair and started wearing wigs so that I could wash and condition my hair as needed. Even after giving my hair "special attention", it only got worse. I've went to my family physican, dermatologist, rheumatologist, had numerous blood tests done, and have yet to find a method of treatment that helps. My mom started going bald in her late 50's. All the females in her family have the same pattern of balding. Although I'm 33, I've come to the conclusion that my hair will not grow back... It's just hereditary.
