About Me:
My son is 23 and he has alopecia areata. He never had it as a child, so this was the first time, and it was pretty extensive on his head. There is no other family members who have it, although there are several with eczema. I have read everything that I could find about the disease. I think it may be coming back in now. He said he could feel hair on all of the spots except the original one on the side of his head, and his beard has not started coming back yet.
