- 31yr old male I have had alopecia for about 6 months, I have tried creams etc but nothing helping as of yet. I am losing hair in patchs all over my body but mainly on my scalp, I am now at the stage of deciding to shave my head as I can't hide it anymore but nervous/scared do I or don't I.

Good luck. Don't worry, having a bald head is a lot better looking and easier than having patches. I think AU is better than totalis, too because we don't have any body hair which is nice!
