Hi, I am 44 and have lost all of my hair from Alopecia. All I have left are my eyebrows. They started falling off about two years ago and will probably be completely gone in a year or so. I had a full head of hair until I was twenty five, my girlfriend noticed a small patch on the back of my head. By the time I was 28 all of my body hair was gone except for my eyebrows. It was difficult, I did not realize that I was a vain person until it happened, it quickly made me humble. Now I am so use to it that sometimes I forget I have it until someone recognises it and says something. I am a pilot, play drums in a band, have a decent job, and good friends. But it took awhile for me to come to terms with it.I feel bad for children who are bullied because of it, and for women who struggle with it.At the end of the day, what I have learned is that beauty is not what you wear or how you appear in other folks eyes.It is who you are as a person that defines you, it is the light of your soul that shines on people.
