- About Me:
- The day before I joined this site I shaved my head for the first time. I had been dealing with hair loss over the majority of my life and struggled with the tribulations associated with it. To stave it off, I undertook a 10 year program of Propecia and Minoxidil treatment, but the hair growth effects started to wear off a couple of years ago and I also noticed some possible side-effects - so I stopped treatment. Of course, the loss continued and the bald spot behind my head only grew bigger. I finally said to myself "to hell with what other people think" and took the plunge. I have to say it was liberating. I joined this site in order to offer my moral support to others dealing with hair loss. While,, I cannot minimize the emotional impact that it can have on a person, I can assure you that it gets better.
