- Alopecia started without my knowing. Looking back years ago my hairdresser pointed out a round spot in the back of my head where my hair was white. My hair was blonde so it wasn't obvious. Then started losing my hair over my ears or at the base of my neck. Dr said it was stress and use Rogaine. Had trouble off and on just in those spots. Two years ago I lost so much hair I ended up shaving what little was left and wore wigs. I also lost part of my eyebrows and eyelashes. It has been growing back the last 2 years, but not at the base of my neck. About 4 weeks ago it started coming out again.
