Time for just keep my head bald

Last time I did anything with my hair was in February 2024, and it was a smooth headshave with razor. It was a so unaccustomed feeling to not have anything on my head, that I just let the hair grow out again. And I was afraid that headshaving every second day would be a lot of work, so I just let it grow out again.I've got many different comments. Why shave it etc. I didn't cared, but it was sometimes hard in the beginning. I did it at winter time and had to wear a hat to keep the head warm. It…See More

"No, it should not hurt. I assume you are not having any pain prior to shaving. Shaving is not painful."

Clean shaving my head or not?

I am boy and I have always had short hair, but sometimes let it grow out until the fringe be too long. I am now 29 years old and haven't been at the hairdresser since the end of 2022. I have tried to let the hair grow until it's easier to find a female wig that look like my hair, so that I don't suddenly go out with longer hair than I used to have.My main problem with wearing a wig is that I excrise a lot and cycle a lot. I sweat so much that I can't wear a sweater when I work out, but I'm fine…See More

About Me:
I've always had short hair and went to the hairdresser at least once every six months, except for the few times I've messed it up. Not something I really liked. Got so many comments, mostly positive, but I didn't really care.

2023 has been the first year I can remember that I have never been to the hairdresser. I like going to the hairdressers but my hair had thinned over the last few years and was either falling out a lot or growing back a lot. I last went to the hairdresser at the end of 2022 and wanted to see if my hair grew long. It just gets thinner rather than thicker and long enough to hide the hairless patches.

Now in the middle of January 2024, I had to make an emotionally difficult choice. Either go to the hairdresser for the last time, or shave your head completely smooth and be done. I'll shave my head straight when I feel ready, because right now I'm nervous... A small part of my hairline is left in the bangs. I have a lot of hair in the back, but there is too little in the front. And I've noticed in recent months that I keep getting more hair on my computer desk and there's hair in the bath at home.

It will be interesting to see if I enjoy being completely bald or if I let my hair grow back. I hope I like being bald, because it will be cheaper than going to the hairdresser, but if my hair is completely gone, I'll just have to live with it. Whatever happens, I'm now looking forward to releasing more fear of how much hair will fall out, while saving time and money on appearance. I've always loved my hair, but if I lose it, I'll just have to get used to never having a hairstyle again...
