I have had alopecia for the majority of my life. I began with the patchy areas coming and going. I went through a phase of trying steroids, vitamins etc a dermatologist recommended. The risk wasn't worth it, I knew I had to accept my alopecia. It was here to stay. While I have enjoyed the no shaving arms and legs benefit, I have also endured the painful side of alopecia. Hoping each day regrowth would appear, penciling in eyebrows only to have one non existence, dreading close contact with people hoping they wouldn't notice I have no eyelashes. The list can be quite lengthy and crushing. I am happy to say that I feel like my alopecia worry days are over. I have permanent makeup, hair prosthesis(love it) and feel confident and beautiful. Alopecia no longer factors into the majority of my day!
