I am 54 year old woman diagnosed with breast cancer in early Feb 2013, 4 days before my Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia diagnosis. Grade 1, Stage 1 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Had lumpectomy, 4-1/2 weeks radiation and will be on tamoxifen for 5 years but it is basically behind me. Had to get that taken care before I had the energy to deal with FFA. Have always been very healthy until this year! Get a lot of exercise, eat healthy, etc. Am a happy person and have a great life. My FFA was caught very early. I have lost a little bit of hair at hairline but not enough that anyone would know but me. Currently seeing a dermatologist and using protopic twce per day M - F and Clobetasol .05% once per day on sat and sun. Try to keep this in perspective--much worse autoimmune diseases to have--but want to do everything I can to prevent disfiguring hair loss. Found this website while researching FFA on internet.
