- Diognosed with Alopecia Areata in April of 2011. It started with my facial hair and then I lost most of the hair on my head. I now have a 99% full head of hair again but no facial hair much. I also had lost most of my eyebrows but they too are 99% back to normal. My mother, now 80 got Totalis when she was 16. She never got her hair back.
