Hi I have been permanent cosmetic makeup specialist for 5 years. In the last two years I have noticed an increase in the number of clients with alopecia coming through for procedures. I have joined the Alopecia site to be able to offer free advice to sufferers or family and friends. Further info on www.tracyfensome.co.uk
Hi Tracy,
I was wondering if you could offer any insight regarding the potential for allergic reactions to permanent makeup. I have very sensitive skin - as many alopecians do - and am concerned that I might have a reaction. Is this something I should be worried about? Is it worth getting a small dot tattooed on me somewhere as a test before I proceed with the whole shebang? Thanks for any advice you might have!
Emily
Dear Tracy
Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly and with so much info. As you can see from my pic I am currently hiding lack of brows with a finged wig but would love some eyebrows again and the eye-liner is fiddly to do each time I go out, plus my eyes water and there you go - a mess! It seems vain doesn't it but I know I'd feel happier.
Thanks everso, I look forward to gearing from you again.
Diana
Dear Tracy
I have no eyebrows or eyelashes at all and have been considering semi-permanent makeup. It's a shame I don't live in your area but I would appreciate your comments - how long do the eyebrows last and how do you do the eyeliner (it's so close to the eyeball and, without eyelashes to follow, I find when I apply eyeliner I find the pencil or brush slips into my eye). I need a good specialist in the East Sussex area. How do I find a good one - is there some kind of association that semi-permanent makeup artists should belong to for example?
Thanks everso for your help
