- I was diagnosed with frontal fibrosing scarring alopecia 7 years ago. I’ve lost beard, sideburns, eyebrows and temple hair and my hairline continues to recede. The condition is very rare in men which fills me with very little hope. Presently not in receipt of any treatment just hope the condition burns itself out, though showing no signs of that at present. Now considering having it all shaved off, which I really dread. I might feel better if I knew what caused it, but no one seems to have a clue which doesn’t help at all.
